Clients
seeking spatially referenced mapping products benefit from the
efficiency of the equipment and technologies used within the
photogrammetry department at Qasco.
Photogrammetry
is the science of measuring and recording the position of objects using
photographic images. The objects may be recorded in 2D or 3D, and the
principle of the technique allows the measurements by viewing the
objects within a 3D (stereo) image model, without the objects being
touched.
Photogrammetry
provides the spatial orientation of aerial imagery to the Earth's
surface, thereby allowing the imagery to be used in the measuring of
topographic and planimetric mapping features.
